During the course you will make and partially finish a small wall cabinet which will include dovetails, profile scribed jointed frames with a raised and fielded panel, as well as several other jointing methods, all of which can be achieved with the router. The cabinet can be taken and completed at home.
5 students are taught in a group during this course.
Over the period of two days students will cover basic safety, maintenance and selection of routers and router cutters. Students will cover all aspects of using and controlling the router accurately and safely.
Students will also cover the use of fences, various jigs and guides, self guided cutters, guide bushes and template making. The course also covers basic setting-up and use of the inverted router table.

Course hours will run from 9am-5pm (including approximately half an hour for lunch).
All materials for set projects are included in the cost, as is tea/coffee and a light lunch on both days. Please check the course calendar for availability. Course hours will run from 9am - 5pm.
There is no upper age limit for students, however the minimum age is 14 years old and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the course and must not be left unattended during class hours.
