This chair course is open to all abilities and is designed to introduce the student to the joys of chair making. The majority of the chair will be turned on the lathe from the seat to the back rails and of course the legs themselves. Other tools used will be dowel formers for the back sticks with spoke shaves and various sanding equipment for the back comb.
10 students are taught in a group during this course.
This is a great taster if you were thinking of the full windsor chair making course but were unsure, with the skills used essential for it's larger counterpart. Each student will make their chair from scratch which can be taken home at the end of the course to become part of the family.
No experience is necessary and you will be taken through all you need to know from the sharpening of your tools to the finishing of your chair.

This course will be taught by one (or more) of the following tutors:
All materials for set projects are included in the cost, as is tea/coffee and a light lunch over the three days.
