This was my second course at Axminster and like the first I was very impressed with everything. The course tutor (Jason) and course content were well paced with useful new turning techniques learned.
Jason's personality and commitment gets the whole group deeply involved in what is happening. This coupled with his patience in correcting mine and others learner mistakes is also outstanding and involving.
Mr. Paul Thomas (December 2010)Turned Boxes (Introduction)
Jason took a tremendous amount of trouble to explain the correct techniques. he had endless patience!
Mr. Ian Lee (November 2010)Beginners Woodturning (2 days)
Fantastic course for someone who has never touched a lathe before. I will be back, the course was very good and Colwin an excellent tutor.
Mr. Neil Farrer (November 2010)Pen Making
I attended, at another establishment, a beginners course; it was poor in comparison. Jason's enthusiasm was infectious and he quickly restored my confidence in handling the tools.
The professional set up matched by the friendly atmosphere from all staff I encountered.
Mrs. Jennifer Browne (October 2010)Beginners Woodturning (2 days)
In Mr. Jason Breach, you have a real gem. Not only did he explain all the technical details of routing but also passed on all sorts of tips and advice on woodworking in general. He also has a good sense of humour.
Mr. Tony Higgins (September 2010)Beginners Routing
The course was well thought out and allowed each trainee to proceed at a rate which suited them.
I really enjoyed the two days, and am greatly impressed by the whole set-up.
